Tottenham have offered Bayern Munich the chance to sign one of their players as the German club continue to be linked with a Chelsea star.

Ange Postecoglou has adapted well to life in North London so far as his Tottenham side have started the new Premier League season well.

Despite the loss of Harry Kane, Spurs have looked fluid in the final third and several of their new signings have already hit the ground running.

While Tottenham are keen to strengthen their squad between now and the end of the window, they are also looking to offload several players.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Sergio Reguilon, Davinson Sanchez, Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele are all among the names who could still leave the club this summer.

Eric Dier is another name who is being linked with a move away. The 29-year-old has seemingly slipped down the pecking order under Postecoglou and is now considering his options.

He only has one year left on his contract at Spurs and doesn’t seem as if he will get much game time by sticking around in North London.

Fulham have been linked with the Tottenham defender of late, but Bayern Munich could throw their hat in the ring for the player.

According to Florian Plettenberg, Spurs have ‘offered’ the defender to the German club as Thomas Tuchel considers his options.

“Eric Dier: Understand that he was offered to FC Bayern again and again in the last days,” Plettenberg explained on Twitter.

“A transfer possibility of the 29 y/o was discussed internally as he can play as a center back and in defensive midfield. The topic is still in the transfer board of FC Bayern.”

Bayern also interested in Chelsea defender

Whether Bayern decide to sign Dier could hinge on what happens with Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah. Tuchel is keen to sign the 24-year-old, but a deal hasn’t been struck yet.

Bayern were unsuccessful with their opening bid to sign him on loan and Fabrizio Romano has clarified the current state of play regarding the Chelsea star.

“Told stories about Trevoh Chalobah now undergoing medical tests at Bayern are wide of mark. No medical in London or Munich as of now,” Romano confirmed.

“Negotiations between Bayern & Chelsea took place — Chelsea insist on permanent deal or no way.”

Following the arrival of Kane, Tuchel wants to add some more defensive options to his side. A move for Chalobah would perhaps make more sense in the long-term than a move for Dier would.

Tuchel already knows Chalobah well from his time at Stamford Bridge and the 24-year-old is seemingly keen on the move.

However, he is under contract with Chelsea until 2028 and so he would likely cost more than Dier would with just a year left on his contract.

With the end of the transfer window now in sight, Bayern will have to make a decision sooner rather than later.
